The first novel of The Lords Of The Underworld series is The Darkest Night

All her life, Ashlyn Darrow has been tormented by voices from the past. The sixth full book is Gideon’s story, The Darkest Lie.

Forced to his knees in agony whenever he speaks the truth, Gideon can recognize any lie—until he captures Scarlet, a demon-possessed immortal who claims to be his long-lost wife.  He doesn’t remember the beautiful female, much less wedding — or bedding — her.  But he wants to . . . almost as much as he wants her.

But Scarlet is keeper of Nightmares, too dangerous to roam free, and a future with her could mean ultimate ruin.  Especially as Gideon’s enemies draw closer . . . and the truth threatens to destroy all he’s come to love .

Another lovely cover for this collection (minus The Darkest Lie). The Darkest Surrender is Strider’s story.

the darkest touchThe next book will be called The Darkest Touch, featuring my favorite – Torin. There is a bit of a wait, though, since it won’t be out until November 25th.

From New York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter comes the long-awaited story of Torin, the most dangerous Lord of the Underworld yet….

She is Keeley Cael. The Red Queen. When the powerful beauty with shocking vulnerabilities escapes from a centuries-long imprisonment, the desire that simmers between her and Torin is scorching. His touch could mean the end for her, but resisting her is the hardest battle he’s ever fought—and the only battle he fears he can’t win.

I still have Paris’ book to read, and looking forward to it, too. I do hope the series continues on for a while more.

      • I swear if she stops the series before she writes Williams book I will lose my mind lol… And while Paris’s book was just okay for me I’m excited to read Kane’s

      • I do admit that I am a Willie fan, too, and we definitely need both his story and his backstory. Hopefully next. And then Torin’s.

Your way ahead of me then.Laughs. I think I am up to book 3 or 4 (too lazy to check my goodreads account).

  3. I did not enjoy Paris book. And I thought it would be best in series

I haven’t gotten to it yet, but I was thinking it would be a great one. I have to read it soon, though, to get ready for the spin off book at the end of the month.

  4. I am just ganna say it cause I have been staring and stewing while looking at Gena and Kresley’s websites… Not that I’m not excited about spin-off series or even new series but it just means I have to wait that much longer for the books in the series I really want to read :'( I grasp I’m being a baby but I do not care haha. I want more of LotU and IAD…

    • That is always the downside…the ones you really, really want get pushed back even further. AND the change to hardcover seems to slow it down even more.

  5. Are you ever gonna a LotU character guide.

  6. Okay all her latest reviews are making me scared…. is she adopting a new pg-13 writing style?

    • kaleigha said:

Hm, for me it wasn’t so much the heat content, but I got a different vibe from it. There was a shift in style, and a heavy-handed focus on faith. Which is great, just not in my PNR. I found it getting progressively stronger in the last three books, and I actually didn’t finish Beauty Awakened. It was just so…preachy, I guess. I haven’t checked out the reviews for the last LotU book, though.

  7. I haven’t even started Beauty Awakened cause of the reviews I read. I just finished Kane’s book. I didn’t really find it to be preachy (so that’s good). I really liked his lady actually and I liked where the book went for the most part. The love scenes weren’t bad but they are definitely less racy and are definitely watered down. Which to be honest is seriously upsetting lol. Thats the part I REALLY look forward to! Sooo my over all opinion after messaging her about it on FB (cause I am THAT person) and asking if it was an intentional change that she would continue with she said, “The upcoming books are going to be way sexier, the heros wouldn’t have it any other way!” (YAY) *Fingers crossed*

    • I am glad to hear that she is going to “get back to normal”, so to speak. I know I have to get to Beauty Awakened (for the character guide), but I just gave up about 50 pages in. Others have told me it does get better, but I found myself putting it off. I am hoping that Darkest Craving is more on track, especially since she needs to get warmed up for the next book, The Darkest Touch, which will be Torin’s story. Love me the Torin, and I demand that he have a great story. Demand!

  8. Me and my wife are totaly in love with these books and we hope that miss cameo gets a book as well as torin. Keep up the great work your amazing gena showalter…wish your books could be a show they would be the best show ever….

Gena does have a great thing going, that’s for sure. Torin’s book is actually up next, and it is called The Darkest Touch. If I remember correctly it is due out in September.

  9. cant wait for Torin’s book to come out..** Man I love him so much..!! He’s my favorite Lord of the Underworld..** Without a doubt..**

    • kaleigha said:

He is my favorite, too. I am very interested in William, but as for the Lords themselves, Torin is #1.

  10. Any idea when you might get to the character guide? (Last mention of it was in 2012.)

Hey Dawn…I have some catching up to do, then finish the Fever world series, and then it is either LotU or the League.
